College Post #2: Bullet Journal

Hey everyone. Good Morning and Happy Sunday.  I am back with a college post today. I started with having all sorts of random lists and notes all over the place. One day when I was scrolling through tumblr i stumbled upon bullet journalling. And i think it's the best thing. In my opinion it's better than a planner/agenda. Here is how i organize my bullet journal and I will also put a YouTube video of where i also got some inspiration from to do mine.

The first thing is the key of the symbols that you will be using throughout.

You can also have a monthly list of the most important dates.

This is a what the weekly one look like.

Another weekly one and also stuff that I want to remember like my pen pals address ( I will have another post later on in April about my pen pals)

This is my ideas for past and upcoming blog posts.

This is what you call a tracker. It can track anything you like.

This is another part of the tracker. I track my instagram, facebook, studying, etc.

A list of things I want to buy in the future. I actually bought the items in the speaking bubble sticky yesterday. (I plan on doing a collective haul soon.)

I added the video so you can get a closer look of what it looks like since my pictures are not the best. This is also where I got my inspiration from.

Bullet journal is basically putting all your random lists, ideas, dates that you jot down on pieces of paper into to one book just to have it all in one place. Rather than having a whole set of paper in your hand bag or all over the place. I am obsessed with it. It helps me out a lot with things I have to remember to do. It's great for a student who works like me and also for a mother or just anyone in general who likes to be organized. Tomorrow is a holiday in my country called Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day so I will be home catching up on school work. But for the rest of you all I hope you have a great and productive week at work and school.

My new phone: Samsung galaxy S5 mini

I have been needing a phone for quite some time now. The other one that I had was the Samsung galaxy s and it doesn't have much space. So it was slowing down. It wasn't accepting or making calls. It was just a pain.  So I decided to go and get myself a brand new one.  I bought the Samsung galaxy s5 mini, the blue one. It is the best decision I have made.  It has a lot of space and the camera quality is really clean.  It's just what I need. I was willing to splurge for it because I work hard and stress myself out a lot.  So I don't mind having to spend a large sum of money on myself. As the months go by, I am buying stuff that I really need. But in my opinion it is a really great phone especially for the tech savvy person. I highly recommend it.

P.S. Sorry the lack of creativity and bad quality of this post but I was sick for the past couple of days and I was suppose to go and see Insurgent and do a review on it but I couldn't. This post was done at the last minute. Next week the post will be better. Enjoy your week.

Movie Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

Last week Sunday I had plans to go and see Fifty Shades of Grey with my friends and family but non of them ended up going. And the majority of them didn't even call. So two of my guy friends wanted to see it with me but I ended up declining both of their requests because my entire mood changed. So I looked it up online and I decided to watch it in the comfort of my own home. Which was the best decision I made. With all the hype surrounding the movie, I honestly thought it would have been better. But I didn't like it at all. I spent two hours watching that show and I really felt like if I wasted my time. It's a good thing I didn't go and see it in cinema. Even though I haven't read the book, I knew to myself that there should have been more to that movie. Most of the sex scenes were cut which was really stupid because that is what the show was suppose to be about. The only thing that I really liked from that movie is the song by The Weeknd called Earned it. I love that song. I am still willing to give the movie a second chance so when part two comes out I will watch it but I am not sure if I will be spending my money to go and see it or just see it in the comfort of my own home which I think might be a better idea. What are your opinions about the movie? Well I hope you all enjoy your week. Take care.

Quotes of Wisdom #2

It all started when I was close to leaving from the supermarket I was working at as a cashier. I suddenly became depressed with being there. I guess maybe I was just tired of everything. Nothing was going right. Plus my ex boyfriend was working there and he used to make it hard for me sometimes. One minute we would be good and talking and the next he would turn against me and get jealous off of petty stuff. So I left a while after but this was mainly due to doing six classes in college that semester and working would have been too much to handle. During that space of time up until October 2014 when I started my new job, I was extremely depressed. I wasn't working, I wasn't going out. I started gaining weight. I secluded myself from everyone. I would always be in my bedroom, on my computer and on my phone. I didn't want to be around people. It was really bad. I was always crying at night and even during the day. I just felt alone, like I had no one. Which in reality I did. I just wasn't happy with myself or even how life was going for me at all. It was one of the worst times. I have gotten a lot better since then. Since I started back working, things seemed to get a little bit easier. Things began looking up for me. I am still not 100% happy but I am a lot better than I was back then. I saw this quote while I was scrolling through pinterest and it just spoke to me. I thought to myself yes I think it is about time for me to remember because some people in this world are struggling to survive. I have been spending a lot of time recently with a guy friend. I have been talking to people more. I hope to be seeing my girls more often but everybody is so busy. And I always have to do the planning else non of them will. It has so many people who has so much less than I do. I might not have it all but I do have a lot. I am thankful for all my blessings and I hope you guys are too. Have a great week.

P.S. Tonight I will be going and see Fifty Shades of Grey with my friends because my guy friend doesn't want to see it because of the reviews he has heard. I don't really care what people say because everybody has their own opinions. Next week Sunday I will have a review on it.

Family Reunion

My last aunt on my grandmother's side has not been feeling the best for some time now. So my family decided that they will have a big gathering/reunion with the entire family yesterday at a community centre nearby. Last week Saturday we were planning and writing a list with everyone's name and what they could bring. Then they called each person to let them know what they should bring. We got the community centre from 4 p.m till 12 p.m. The foods that they were planning to originally bring were roti, oil down, dumpling and curry crab and maybe pelau. and all was brought even the pelau along with alcohol, light drinks and a few cutters. My mom and aunt got up early and went to the community center to clean and decorate it. When I got there in the afternoon we were the first ones there. A while after everybody else started arriving. It was a night to remember. There were lots of food, laughter, conversations and fun. It was nice to see everybody all together in one place. Some of them I have never even see before. I know it's ridiculous. But overall I had a great time with everybody. We all danced the night away.

FOTD: A Touch Of Blue

This is definitely a great look for a summer night out. It's more on the smokey side with a hint of gold in the corner.  I actually ...
